Green in the North, 2019
Visual development work for a story set in a fantasy world I've been working within for over two years.
With peace restored to the region after defeating the monster Gray-Face, Roma’s next trial as the new Queen comes in the form of rebuilding relations with The Dry Forest on the other side of the mountains. Her mother’s war left the two groups at odds, and negotiations of peace are well overdue. Frustratingly, the Forest’s custom of ruling in pairs means that Roma must bring along the only other person that is eligible to join her: her estranged father. Over the course of their journey, they must reconcile and come to terms with mistakes made during Roma’s childhood. Concurrently, Roma’s cousin Kaber searches for long-lost answers to a mystery that dates to the time of his most famous ancestor.
